Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money, I felt very happy because I had never held such an amount of money.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
My life has improved in that, this season I was able to hire labourer to work on my farm. I am very sure of good yield this time around as opposed to when I used local tools and farmed on small piece of land. In addition, I also managed to access better treatment for my eyes. My sight is now good.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have spent my transfer on buying two goats and ten hens worth UGX 500,000, bought household goods/clothes( mattresses, a bed and shoes) worth UGX 400,000, paid labour worth UGX 150,000, paid medical bills worth UGX 100,000, bought a bicycle worth UGX 200,000 and solar panel wortg UGX 50,000. The balance was spent on food.
