Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was home with my husband and grand children when I received the first transfer.Receiving GD's transfer felt like a dream because GD first sent transfers to a neighboring sector and never would I have imagined actually receiving such a big amount of money. My family and I were very happy and we pray every night for everyone that worked hard for us to receive this transfer. We had a house whose construction activities had stopped. We resumed the construction activities and we plan on starting to collect rent once there are people in the house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Before receiving GD's transfer, we could not picture ways to finish the construction activities for the house that was supposed to provide for us. Receiving the first GD transfer was life changing because we could provide food for our grand children while carrying on with our projects. I plan on starting livestock farming oncce I receive the second transfer.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My husband and I wanted to finish off the construction that had delayed due to lack of enough funds. I spent 50 $ on food and used the rest of the first transfer to finish off the construction activities. I really needed the house to be well built and equipped for me to start benefiting from it.

What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
We will finish the house that we are building in a non risk area with $600 and use the rest $200 buying our own cow to produce compost to fertilize our land.
What is the happiest part of your day?
All those last 6 months no one has gone to the hospital and I have managed to feed my family twice a day
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
We are living close Kintiti river, all our land is gone, we are feeling safe, we are planning to move in a non risk area. I and my husband we are old, we do have courage or effort of working hard as we used too, this affected our life negatively
