How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
From the beginning of the program, my goals were to send my three children to school, improve my house which was in a very bad condition and also buy a motorcycle so that I can run it as a business to generate more money for my family expenses; through the help of GiveDirectly transfer, all of those goals were achieved. I don't have anything major to do for now.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well by changing our living conditions, they are also kind and patient with us anytime we interact with them; l don't know anything that the organization is not doing well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my most recent transfer to bury my wife who was sick for four months. I thank God that the last transfer came during that time because it was a serious help to me.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before receiving payment from GiveDirectly, I am a teacher in our village. Presently, my earnings from the teaching job in the village is very little to for my family daily needs especially for my oldest kids that are now in the city going to school. For this reason I always find it difficult to afford school fees for them. Interestingly, with my transfers coming from GiveDirectly, my new goal is to establish a business to enable me raise additional cash for my children's school fees and other daily needs. Therefore I am planning on waiting for my next transfer to be added to this transfer so I can venture into a used clothes business. I am happy and hoping that with the extra cash that will be coming from the business, will indefinite be of great help to improve the livelihood of my family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly had done extremely well for us that we cannot comprehend. All my life as a teacher in my village I couldn't even earned such a huge amount as a salary thoughtless of receiving it free from someone. The farsightedness by this Organization to reach us living in abject poverty is so much commendable. I will continue to be grateful to GiveDirectly for this great financial freedom that is changing our lives for the better. Truly speaking, I have not seen anything wrong done by GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
With my new goal of establishing my own business to enable me raise extra income for the daily and basic needs of my family, I have decided to wait for my next transfer to be added to my recent transfer for the establishment of the business. Presently, I am a teacher in my village, but I have been finding it difficult to cater to my children's daily needs especially for those living in the city going to school due to the very little salaries from my job. Now with this new goal I am very happy to be part of GiveDirectly financial program. I am no longer worry about how to raise money to for my children's school fees.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My plan is to renovate my deplorable house and start doing business for myself. My house have been damaged and leaking for the past ten years. I am a class room teacher. I have also been having problems in paying my children's school due to my low salary income. My salary couldn't solve my problems. In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
We have not been having Lonestar MTN network for sometimes in our town. So, when I went in cestos city that was when the message came in my phone, I was very happy when I saw it. It was like I was in heaven. My children tuitions have been a serious problem for me. I send 15000 in LAC to my son for his school fees and 10000 to my daughter in firestone for her school fees also because I need a better future for them. The remaining part of the transfer, I decided to save it for the recondition of my house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The difference in my life is that I used to be stranded almost everytime. I get my needs most often, I used to credit especially to pay my children school fees but I am not going to credit to pay my children school fees anymore because of the transfer given to me by GiveDirectly. I have also gotten enough money to renovate my house and make it more beautiful than ever before for the comfort of me and my family. I am so happy for everything GiveDirectly have done for me.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My recent transfer was divided into three portions to settle my family's needs. I spend $15,000.00LD towards my son in LAC School fees and $10,000.00LD towards my daughter in Firestone school fees also. The rest of the transfer I used it for the reconditioning of my house for my family to have a better and decent future home to live in. My heart is filled with joy and happiness, my thanks and appreciation to GiveDirectly for the great help render.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Last year I started saving money with the intent of renovating my house. During the process, I lost my father in Monrovia in September of this year which caused me to spend all of my savings on his funeral. Currently, my house is falling as a result of constant leaking during the raining season. If I receive any money from Give Directly, I will use portion of the money to renovate my house and use the rest to establish a business.
What is the happiest part of your day?
One of the greatest news I have had was the news of my 11 years on daughter being promoted to the 6 grades in Firestone and the next is the presence of Give Directly in my town. From the level of improvements I'm seeing in other towns and villages, I am hopeful that things will get better with me once I receive money from Give Directly.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The major challenge I face right now is my house. We don't have a peaceful night sleep once the rain falls so it has become a very serious challenge for me and my family.
