How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different now in way that before GD came in this village, we did not have enough food for the household due to poor harvest. We also did not have good shelter for the household, we used to sleep on the floor with nothing to cover ourselves. Now after GD intervention, I can happily say we have enough food on my household and we are sleeping on mattresses with good covers in a house of Iron sheets. Thank you GD for the assistance, we are grateful.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly does well on helping poor people with cash to solve their problems, rescuing communities from poverty.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent my second transfer on 25 iron sheets and 3 doors for the house i built using the first transfer.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money is a huge relief for our household as we have been battling hunger ever since we got married in 2019 after dropping out of school. This has mostly been attributed to lack of money to purchase fertilizers to apply to our maize fields which has been affecting out yield production
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest whenever I have found a piece job which earns me some cash to buy food for my household
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
We do not have a proper house as the one we live in is small, dilapidated and really poor. And then it leaks badly every time it rains which really frustrates me big time
