How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Receiving these transfers have enabled me construct an iron roofed house, which I am intending to shift sleeping after fitting the door and Windows. Before receiving these transfers I had a desire to construct an iron roofed house but I didn't have enough money to buy building materials and paying for construction labour. The money I could get was spent on food and to pay medical bills.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well to give me cash that I used to construct an iron roofed house. On my side, GiveDirectly has not done anything bad.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to purchase bricks, timber, 3 bags of cement, 13 pieces of iron sheets and to pay labour for construction.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is the happiness I feel every time I realise that my land is back in my hands.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I recieved my money, I felt so relieved as I was now assured of getting back my land.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent part ( ugx 1000000) of my first transfer to get back my land that I had given out in exchange for money as I had a problem at the time where I was fined for getting a school girl pregnant.
I then bought some iron sheets that I plan to use build my house since I already have my burnt bricks and it's just a matter of starting to build.
I used the little balance to buy some household items such as bedings, clothes and food to feed my family.
