How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that, I'm now sleeping in a permanent structure not again in a grass thatched hurt. Secondly I can now afford to have meals three times in a day not like before when we could hardly have a meal in a day.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly has done well by supporting people to build permanent structures. There is enough lighting in the villages now compared too before when people had unsafe sources of energy. GiveDirectly has not done anything wrong.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I have spent my second transfer on purchasing materials for plastering my house ( sand, bricks, cement) at UGX 600,000, Labour at UGX 350,000, food (beans, cassava flour) at UGX 132,000, paid debt of school fees at UGX 300,000, bicycle at 250,000

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, the transfer has built hope within I of cometing our permanent house that we had started.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my cash transfer, it was the only message that woke me up from sleep.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
When I received my first transfer, I used 300,000ugx for purchasing a bed and a mattress in order to improve on the living conditions. I bought clothes and food with 100,000ugx each and the balance of 1,200,000ugx we are using for completing our permanent house that we had started to build before Give Directly's cash transfer scheme.
