My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer in that I could not have built a decent house and clothes for my children because I do not have a source of income.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly does well by giving out unconditional cash transfer to poor people in the village to improve their standard of living. I do not find anything that gives Directly failed to accomplish.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spend my second transfer on building a better house for my family. We used to live in s a small house which could not host all of us comfortably and the rest of the money I used it to buy food, clothes, beddings and pay for medication for my spouse who is unwell.

The happiest part of my day is in the morning. This because I am glad to see another day.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in my life is my husband's health condition. My husband is asthmatic and has lived with this condition for 17 years. This was immediately after we had our first born child. He has been in and out of hospital since then and this has drained us financially. There is an injection that he has to get once in a while and also uses an inhaler which has to be always there with him.We buy the inhaler he uses every two weeks .This has been costly to us given that we are not financially stable. As we budget for basic needs we also budget for the medication in there because it is a necessity.
