How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
When the program started, my main goal was to pay my children's school fees because I didn't have any money to register them for this semester but through the help of GiveDirectly transfer, I was able to achieve that goal. My new goal is to build a decent house in this town for my family to live a comfortable life.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well by helping us unconditionally without taking anything in exchange for their help, the program is also fair and reliable because everything that was said from the beginning of the program has all come to pass. GiveDirectly is not doing anything wrong in this town, everything is okay with me.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have not yet withdrawn my recent transfer, but I will use it to buy all the necessary building materials needed for my house project. I will also use the balance to buy more food for my family.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have been planning over the years for me to build my house and how to get money to support my children in school. So when Givedirect came in our community, I was happy because it is a opportunity for me and my family to implement what I have long planned to come to pass in my life
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I must first appreciate God who made it possible for Givedirect to come to our aid in this period of hardship that was in our town. If Givedirect have not come in to help, things were going to be difficult for us.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I planned to build my own house with the transfer. After building the house and still left with balance, I will start fire coal business, I will purchase the coal from the producers and take it to Monrovia for sale. From the business, I will be able to sustain the family and send my children to school. Currently, my children are attending the school in this town because I am not able to afford fees for all 6 of them to go to Monrovia to attend school
What is the happiest part of your day?
The only time in the last 6 months I was so happy was the time my children got promoted to the next levels in their school, all of them. It was in August of this year, another happiest day is today because we have loose hope about GiveDirectly coming to this community.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My challenge now as head of the household is finance and food. Currently, I am not employed but survive on fire coal production. I have to burn fire coal and sell it before I can be able to earn Cash, see how Labor intensive it is to cut trees with axe, is not an easy work. Secondly, we have to eat every day so I have to cultivate cassava parallel to my coal production. We sells the produce from the cassava to buy rice for the household consumption.
