How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Had it not for the transfers from GiveDirectly, I would not have bought the two bulls which are currently being used for land preparation. I also recall that if I didn't have the money, my son would be in a mess living without a house of his own. Sleeping in neighbors houses every now and then is really unethical and that means someone is never comfortable even in his or her plans. Out of the above illustrations, I feel I am now happy and even more organized than before. I can plan my things with sober mind and all the happines in this world. Its also worth mentioning that since I received the transfers, I have never lacked food in anyway.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Honestly speaking, GD does not do anything wrong. Actually all the good things are attributed to this organization. Giving us unconditional cash for our own use is something that we are all proud of.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I gave KES 20000 to my son to help him in building a house. He just completed school and did not have any source of income to help sort out this issue.I also spent the rest of the amount on food and other personal expenses which help me to keep going.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my life is that I am so happy. I have progressed in life. I am always happy to see the oxen in my homestead that Give Directly transfer enabled me to own . I have my own now like other people in the village.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was so happy to receive Give Directly funds. I am old and do not know how to read so I told my son to check for me and he confirmed that the funds were on my phone. I am happy up to date.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent Give Directly funds 36000 KES, to buy two oxen, and the balance on food. We are grateful for the funds.
