How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Having a family. I have been single because my house was on poor condition and no woman could afford to stay with me. Now that I have put a good house, I will be marrying very soon.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent all my money building my good house and some home items such as a bed, chairs and a table among others. These are some of the items I have been lacking for a while.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I love the unconditional grants as an intervation that GD implements

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
There's a big difference now in my life, I have a cow which I didn't have before. Having a mattress and blanket was a dream but cash received from give directly made it a reality.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was on my way back home from the forest, carrying my firewood ,I felt so good that day,I reached cooked my food, ate it and got satisfied. The first thought was to buy livestock and a blanket

Spent most of it on livestock ,and building its structure where it stays..

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challenge i am having is poverty and the bad weather My roof is licking and when it rains,i feel unsafe with my family.i want to build another house which is better and convenient.I am old yet i have young children who need suppport.I feel burdened.
What is the happiest part of your day?
GD is the only thing that has brought happiness.I hope the cash transfer can be a source of hapiness to me and family.
What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
I will buy a cow,a goat and a hen to rare.I hope this will help me sustain my family.I also want to build another house so as to live conveniently.
