Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My major goal is to buy a piece of land where one day I will put up my home. I thought of the idea because I have surety Give Directly will give us money for a longer period of time.
This will also be a remembrance of Give Directly transfers in my life together with my family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that my children are no longer sent home for school fees. I am a driver though the little I get from my job is not enough to cater for the needs of my family members.
I have school-going children and the major challenge I had is how to raise their school fees. Before I started receiving money from Give Directly my children were often sent home for fee balances, I am glad that is not the case today.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I do not expect any change yet because I am in the process of achieving my goal of buying a piece of land using my Give DIrectly transfers. I am saving part of my monthly transfer towards buying land since this is my major dream in my life. I am grateful because I am already seeing progress since I started receiving money from Give Directly.

Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months I have plans of building a new house. The current house that we stay in is too small and for a long time I have had the desire of building a more spacious one. This is after I get my monthly merry go round contribution which is happening within the next four months. I am looking forward to accomplishing this dream since I know it will make my family happy and make me a proud father as well.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months is that I have acquired a dairy cow that I did not have before. I used money obtained from my merry go round contributions and this cow has already reproduced. This has saved me a great deal in the cost of buying milk that had always rendered me broke due to its expensive nature. I have also been able to lease land and practiced farming which has led to increased food production for the family. We are now more food sufficient than we were four months a go and this has enabled me to raise a more healthy happy family.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I shall have brought the building of my new house to its completion. This will pave way for other key investments that are geared towards improving the livelihood of my family. I am particularly concerned about the small size of land that we stay in that does not provide enough space for farming. Once we are done with house construction, we shall shift our focus to buying a piece of land by pooling our resources together as a family to buy this piece of land. I anticipate that this shall be made possible within the next six months and I am looking forward to accomplishing this with my wife.

The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I have bought a dairy cow. I used to save some money in the merry go round group that we have started in our village and when it was my term to receive the money I spend it to buy a dairy cow. Before I used to buy milk and it was so costly for me. I could do the casual jobs in the village and the small amount of money I could get was not enough to meet all the basic needs. Currently, I have enough milk for consumption and even sell the surplus at the market to meet the basic needs of the family and also pay school fees for my children in primary school.

This, I did by taking part in a merry go round that was started here in the village after the commencement of the transfers.
