Two years after my spouse passed away, the house he left me collapsed since it was in a deplorable condition. I was left homeless and out of the villager's empathy, they did a fundraiser and built a small house. I appreciate how my life has changed with GiveDirectly's transfer . This because I have been able to build a new house which is spacious enough to host my visitors comfortably and I am no longer worried of it leaking when it rains like my previous house. I am happy that even at my old age, I can get an income from the commercial poultry rear project that I started using the transfer, therefore, the profits assist me in catering for my own household expenditure without full reliance on my villager and relatives.

In my opinion , GiveDirectly did well by encouraging voluntary participation on its project . It went ahead and sensitized the community on its work which lead to transparency when carryout it work under different department .I do not see what GiveDirectly did not do well on its work .

I spent the larger part of my second transfer on purchase some of the building materials such as timber and paid workers who assisted me in the construction of my new house . I bought three decent chairs to replace the old weak chairs that I had since they were risky to seat on as the likelihood of breaking while seating on them was very high . I also bought a wheelbarrow and wire mesh which would be used for constructing a chicken cope.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am staying a happy life with a lot of hope unlike before because I did not have someone to lean on financially since I am a widow. I am very proud GD gave me money and I am going to build a decent and spacious house. I am also having the hope to starting a household business hence I will have as source of income.

The moment Ireceived my money Iwas very excited.

I bought building materials like, iron sheets, sand, polls and wheelbarrow that I am planning to use t build my new house because the one Iam staying is too small and old, when I receive my second transfer. I also bought plastic chairs and two tables.
