When I received my second transfer, I started a cereal shop selling beans and maize grains. I invested 17500 KES in the business and spent the rest on 30 iron sheets. I realized that starting the business was the best idea for me since it would cater for us-me and my family even many years to come.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have gained financial independence since I started running my business-I can pay school fees for my children, buy them clothing, eat and drink well. I don't need to ask my husband for money all the time and this has really reduced conflicts in my house. Our lives has totally changed!
