What did you spend your third transfer on?
I used a portion of the transfer to buy 2 bulls for farming activities. I bought an ox-plough. I also built my son an iron roofed.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that at the moment I have farming materials and equipments. This will see me grow financially stable day by day.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
What GD does well is that they remember our people who were left to languish in poverty. At the moment I don't know what GD doesn't do well.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on paying my son's college fee has he was joining college. I then bought a few livestock including an ox for ploughing, a goat and a few chicken. I then bought some iron sheets that I am planning to use on building my new house ones I get my last transfer. I then spent the rest of the transfer on buying a solar lamp for lighting my house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I go out grazing my ox and goat everyday and that is very fulfilling.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on an ox (7,000 KES) to support ploughing and in future, and a mattress (2,000 KES) that I needed badly.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment when I received my money, I felt very elated and hopeful, and all fear of GD promise not being fulfilled died, since I knew this was the beginning of fulfilling a dream I have had for long (being able to grow enough food for my family and earning an income through land ploughing).

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I'm planning to spend my transfer on two major ways ;Building another house since my current house is very small and squeezed, secondly I plan to pay college fees for my only son who sat his forth form exams and got a C plain, he's been resting at home for almost a year now due to lack of school fees.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is having been able to educate my son through secondary school and I'm more than happy that he got a C plain even though he went to a village school.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship in my life currently is the poor condition of my house, it is very small and old.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I'm attending to my farm. I rely fully on farming which has been my only source of livelihood.
