What did you spend your third transfer on?
I used a larger portion of the transfer to built a spacious iron roofed house. I also purchased foodstuffs with the rest of the transfer.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I now live in a spacious and stable house which doesn't leak. I was living in such a deplorable condition due to financial challenges.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
What GD does well is that it uplift the livelihood of the poor. At the moment, I'm not sure of what GD doesn't do well.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on buying essential baby stuff for my new born baby, paid school fees for my older children, bought building materials for a new house I am yet to built becauser the current one is in a bad condition and spent the remaining money on food.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my life is having done all that I did without begging for help from relatives.

I spent my first transfer on buying food, one bag of maize, some household items, cushions, clothes and I also bought school uniforms for my three children who are still in school

I felt very happy when I received the cash, it gave me hope of buying things like food because during that time I couldn't even afford to buy food for my family

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I would like to use the transfer on building a better house for my family because my current one is not in a good condition.I will use the remaining amount on buying household items like sofa set chairs,beds and matress.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is being able to buy chairs from my business savings.When my husband died a fews year ago,we were sitting on the floor because I did not have chairs.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest harship is paying school fees for my children in primary school. I am a widow and the sole provider for my family.The profits from my small business of hawking tomatoes at the bus stage in Chabera shopping centre is not enough to support our needs.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of my day is in the afternoon when working in my small business.
