Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
My husband and I were on our way coming from our old farm and the phone rang; it was the money that came. I was so happy. I danced and I sang praises to Givedirectly. I said oh God, I never believed this but it is real!
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
God first, my daughter's delivery will be possible because we have money for her medical expenses. It was an everyday worry for me since my daughter was raped at age 12; but this money brought peace to my heart. My heart is cold! I am happy over plus because my condition has changed. I am also filled with joy because I will start doing business in this money to help my children and my future.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I paid my two children's school fees, I bought one 25kg bag of rice and some soup ingredients for the house. I saved the rest of my money for my pregnant 12 year old daughter's delivery.
