Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment when i received my transfer i was very happy because it was my first time to receive such amount of money that would help me acquire most of my needs.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
This year i did not harvest enough yields and my family was facing food shortage. Due to that most days we could take less than three meals per day. To say the fact i neither had other source of income to buy food nor hope that some day things would get better. While i did not expect anything GiveDirectly came to my resque by giving such huge amount of money which is the first time in my life. Now my life has completely changed because i have 11 bags og maize which will take me and my family for the rest of the year. In addition to that i have iron sheets which i want to improve my house from grass thatched to iron sheet roof.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have been poor for so long and could not manage to get best things i needed in my life. So when i received my transfer i spent it on only things i have been longing for as follows; 10 iron sheets and 11 bags of maize for food. The remainder of the transfer has been saved for other uses in the near future.
