How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the money, my family sleeps in good beddings, I have also been able to hire a garden and this money saved my child's life when he was sick. When I buy my oxen ploughing will be easy and am happy.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion Give Directly did well to send us money that has fought poverty at household level. There is nothing they are not doing well
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I have not yet spent my second transfer but I intend to use it for buying Oxen for ploughing and if any balance remains, I will use for buying a bed and a mattress.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, Since the time I took my child for treatment with GD transfers, she has never fallen sick again hence there is less stress to us the parents.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
When I received my first transfers, I shared with my spouse a bout our transfers,we then planned together how to spend it.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
When I received my first transfer, I used 500,000ugx for treating my child that was suffering from anaemia of Sickle cells, I bought a bicycle at 150,000ugx to help in transportation of food and ourselves to and from the hospital when sick.I Bought food worth 150,000ugx to support the family in feeding. I bought a cow 700,000ugx to provide milk and act as an Income generating activity for the family. I bought clothes for the children, spouse and myself worth 180,000ugx to improve on our living standard, look decent and the balance of 20,000ugx, I used for purchasing plates for use at the household.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i face in life is poverty. My family lacks land for cultivation inorder to produce enough food.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest moment is morning hours. This time i wake up not so stress because of what to feed my family.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means to buy a piece of land and oxen for cropping activities. This will help increase on the amount of crop yields received per season.My family shall therefore have enough food stuffs for be consumed.
