What did you spend your third transfer on?
I paid school fees for my orphaned granddaughter who, is in secondary school. She was just joining form one. I am happy she was able to go to school. The remaining amount I spent on buying building materials that I want to use to build an iron roofed kitchen. I used to cook from a grass thatched kitchen. I also bought steel doors and glass windows that I still to fix on my door. I am grateful for the money.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my transfer on buying a cow which has already given me a calf and I am milking as well, I then built a cow shed for my cattle because I want them to be secure at night. I then built a kitchen since I was previously cooking in the open. I then spent the rest in buying food for my family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I have seen a lot of difference as I now consider myself wealthy because all the cattle I had bought have given me calves and lambs and my herd has increase yet I never owned even a small sheep before I started getting the transfers.

I spent my first transfer on buying a sheep at 3,000 KES,a sack of maize at 3,000 KES and paid 3,000 KES on wages for digging a pit latrine. I decided to use my transfer to buy a sheep because i needed to have livestock of my own.Last season harvest was bad so i had to purchase a sack of maize for my household and going to a neighbours pit latrine became so frustrating so i decided to dig my own pit latrine .
What are you planning to spend your upcoming transfer on?
I am planning to spend my upcoming transfer on buying a cow that would provide me with milk, build a kitchen because i am tired of cooking outside in the cold and i will also pay school fees.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
My plan is to buy livestock to raise, build a kitchen and a toilet since I do not have any and my frequent visits at the neighbors is very uncomfortable but I have no choice.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement that makes me proud is having saved money from charcoal burning and built my current house, this was after my husband had passed on years ago.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship is making ends meet, this is because I'm the driver of my family's life and at same time the conductor making it very difficult given that I have no other person to assist me since my husband died many years ago.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I'm out burning charcoal which in most cases is a great suppliment to farming. I'm able to support the family through the proceeds of the charcoal.
