Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
"I was at my house by then, I have just woke up from bed when I noticed the message alert like a ringing tone. I hurriedly carried it to my son who is my helper on the program. When I was told it was a transfer from GiveDirectly, I broken down in joy of sorrow because I knew my prayer has come to an end to own a new house that is built with zinc roof. Immediately I received the cash transfer, my major focus was where to go and buy my zinc in order to have my house process being started".
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
"As soon as I complete the construction of my house, by then, I will have a rest and not keep being worry of going to the bush to cut thatches to change roof every seasons of the year. By that time, my focus will be on establishing small business to help bring up my children and provide their needs".
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
"When I cash out my money from the phone, I straightly went ahead to the building materials store and paid for two bundles of zinc and make part payment for the production of woods (planks) to have it sewed".

What does receiving this money mean to you?
"Firstly i want to say thank you to the organization for this great initiative, if i am qualify to receive a cash grant i plan on buying planks for my house i plan on building because i bought the zinc and other materials, but been out of cash to buy planks and pay contractors to start the project".
What is the happiest part of your day?
"Two months ago i was very happy because my daughter had a safe delivery despite all the complications faced with."
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"My greatest challenge right now is the lack of finance to carry on my project."
