What does receiving this money mean to you?
Things have been very hard for me so I have always been thinking about starting a business. But getting the money to even start a very little business has never been materialised because of my daily problems that involve finance. Although I don't have a business idea but I know that with my mindset, I will be able to do something good when I start a business. Every time I pray to God for a kind of help that will take me from this hardwork, and God has finally answered my prayers by sending GiveDirectly to our town to help us. So, when I start this business, it will make me to have more money to sustain my family, only if I'm serious. I know that I will not fail and go back to my same suffering.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months, what has brought me joy and happiness in my life is seeing my son healthy everyday and not getting sick. Another thing that can make me happy is when I hear my son calling me "Papa". He just started talking and pronouncing some of these words make me proud and happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My current challenge that I am faced with is to get food for my family and I. Because of my present condition, and looking at the way the country is going, I decided to make garden. The proceeds from the my garden products sale can now be used to take care of my family.
