How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, my family depends on farming for daily provisions. The proceeds we get are always contributing to our wellbeing as we consume some to nourish us and also sell the surplus to raise income to improve our lifestyle as a family. I also saved and bought building materials like cement and sand that I used to plaster my house. Now my house looks beautiful and there is less exposure to colds and flu as we used to previously.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have a new goal of saving part of the transfers and buy livestock for rearing as the financial security of the family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The transfers have really helped me to improve on my farming skills. I am a better farmer now due to the transfers as I can now lease bigger farms, hire extra manpower to work on the farms, buy hybrid maize seeds to plant and also buy fertilizers to help boost the growth of the maize. All these factors usually contribute to better and more harvest which in turn helps in the improvement of our living standards. We can always sell the surplus to raise daily income and also get a season-long supply of food to consume. That is so far the biggest difference in my daily life in the past four months.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to buy building materials like iron sheets that I plan to use in building a new house. I have a very small house that hardly accommodate my large family. In as much it is in good condition, it is not comfortable enough as we have to literally squeeze in it as the family members are many. I also look forward to owning livestock for rearing to secure my family financially.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, I have an easy way of life as I receive the transfer from GiveDirectly. Through the transfers, I have managed to venture into livestock farming to help raise income for my family. I have also been able to pay school fees on time for my children who now get to stay in school and concentrate on their studies. I also get to buy food for family easily and we can at least afford food three times a day.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
The new goal i have is to save the transfers towards buying more livestock for rearing as the financial security of my family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I have always wanted to venture into livestock farming to help increase the levels of income for my family upkeep. I saved some few months transfers and bought goats which i look forward to selling later to help in raising money to buy cows which have more value. This is a form of financial security for my family. Thank you GiveDirectly, for making my long time goal come true. This is the biggest difference in my daily life.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect to save and buy building materials like iron sheets and timber that I plan to use in building a new kitchen. I prepare my meals under a tree as I do not have a kitchen. When it rains it becomes hectic preparing our family meals so I look forward to owning a beautiful kitchen at the end of the six months.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, I am less stressed up than I was four months ago. The transfers from GiveDirectly has contributed a lot towards relieving me from the financial burden I was always subjected to in the past. With the transfers, I have begun keeping local breed hens and cocks which at times we can sell to earn extra income. Sometimes when we do not have money to buy beef or fish, I can slaughter and cook a chicken for my family.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months, my new goal is to prioritize saving my transfers and urge my husband to do the same so that we can buy some iron sheets and other building materials. We shall use these building materials to build a bigger house with two more rooms for my children. At the moment, we are living in a small house and my children have no option but to sleep on the chairs.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is an increment in my household's monthly income. From our transfers, we have been able to plan in advance with them on what to spend them on which is beneficial to the family. Consequently, obtaining food and paying school fees for our children has become very easy as opposed to the previous years. We no longer have to fully rely on unpredictable casual jobs to earn a living.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to start building a new and spacious house with the materials I am yet to start buying. Through this, I shall have a house with adequate rooms for my children. At the moment they are young, but I would not wish to see them going to spend at my neighbors home in the near future when they grow up.

I have been able boost my small scale business by increasing the stock and therefore being able to generate more income by making extra sales everyday.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Right now my major plan is to expand the business so that it becomes more of a mini-supermarket that can generate more profit for me into the future.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The money has enabled me make transformations on my house by plastering a big portion of the walls and the floors both on the interior and the exterior parts.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect that in the near future I will be able to further expand my business so that the amount of money I make everyday can also increase. This expansion will make the business self-sustaining so that when we get to the time when the organization stops sending me cash, I will be ale to rely on the business as a source of income.

In the next six months,I expect to have completed plastering my floor which will greatly improve our health.I also hope to have saved enough to add more stock to my shop.
