Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt very excited because I got money for buying livestock for my children.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
My life has changed because through this cash transfer I was able to buy more clothes for my children and I. We can now afford to dress well and change clothes on daily basis as opposed to when we worn out clothes. In addition, I have also acquired cows and goats which I intend to rear for my children's future needs.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent my first transfer on buying two cows and goats worth UGX 1,120,000, bought household goods clothes ( mattress and bad sheets) worth UGX 290,000. The recipient could not remember all items bought and cost.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will be able to buy livestock so that my children's fututre is well taken care of especially when the cows, goats reproduce. Some can be sold to raise money that can be spent on education needs.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest in the morning when I have food to eat with my children. It is an assurance that I will not sleep hungry.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I am faced with is inadequacy of money to provide for my family. My household depends on agriculture which is a very unreliable venture based on climate changes.
