How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Like i said earier all my life i have been living in a very poor house and did not know where i would get money to build a new one. The coming of Givedirectly was like God's answer to my prayers. Today i have a new house which can withstand harsh conditions and i am living happily with my family. This is how my daily life is different than it would have been if i had never received the transfer
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Since my childhood to this age i never received a gift amounting to what Givedirectly has given me and till now i do not understand that organisations can be generous to that extent. The fact is Givedirectly has done well on distributing transfers with such amount enough to satisfy human needs. On what went wrong, let me be honest with you there was nothing worth mentioning wrong
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent all my transfer on building a new house with iron sheets as it is what my life has been longing for and there was no any other way i would have it own my own. In addition to that i also bought kitchen utensil since what i had was very old and in bad condition

What does receiving this money mean to you?
We have been married for three years now but we have never received nor been given money like this. This money has given us hope that we shall finally have a good looking house and a capital for business. As you know a good house needs iron sheets , good windows and a comfortable sleeping place. As a woman,I also need proper household utensils such as water buckets to make sure I do not travel frequently to the nearest well. This also applies to cooking utensils which are needed to be enough for any proper household.
What is the happiest part of your day?
As a woman, eating good food brings me happiness as this is the source of energy and nutrition for a healthy family. Hence every time my husband brings home good relish, am always in my happiest state.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Biggest hardship to us is the house being in poor state. We still manage to thatch it every rainy season with my husband but since we have to do it every year, its always tiresome. Living in a grass thatched house also comes with extra costs like the need for plastic sheets each time which to us are expensive.
