How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Part of My first transfer was used to hire man to brush portion of my farm land for my cassava farm and bitter bull for family support when GiveDirectly shall have left the community. The balance money was used for two bundles of Zinc to build a new house for the family. The second money was also used for additional materials like Zinc two bundles, nails, cement and plants .I have not developed any new goal because my focus is on the new house building. I used the recent transfer to paid some money to the contractors and save the balance money for others expensive like workers and family food, family hospital bills etc. Thanks to GiveDirectly for the support.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Over the years , the traditional routine of building house in our communities is stressful and is not a friend to old age. I had to travel 2 hours to fetch thatch for the house, which has at most 3years durations. I no longer have such strength and my children have all migrated . Receiving this money, i will be able to buy corrugated sheets for my house to ease the burden of changing and cutting thatch every three years.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Schooling in our communities is stressful. Children walked distance to school only to find our that teachers are not in . It delays their time , as age is not in their favour . Most especially for the females. About a month ago, one of my daughters in Buchanan requested that her small sister move to Buchanan to continue her schooling. This is what i have longed for. When i got this news, i was so happy that i forgot to eat.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Old age in itself is a challenge. Ten years ago i made very large farms ranging from rice to cassava. The produce were sold and family related issues were settled. However, i am unable to make such farm due to old age. I am quickly tried and unable to adequately provide for my family . I have the plan but cannot do because of my age. Also , I have not been able to change my roof for the past 3years due to lack of endurance. These are my current challenges hoping that , with this transfer, will go a long way to reducing or solving them.
