Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
Since I received my transfers, my daily life has changed as I am nowadays busy in my shop. I have started receiving many customers due to the diversity of things I sell and this has really made my profit level to rise unlike before when I had few customers due to lack of so many items.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
It was in the morning as I was preparing breakfast for my family when I received two messages. Upon reading their contents, I was overjoyed as one of the messages indicated that I had received the money I had anxiously been waiting for from GiveDirectly. At that moment, I started singing happily since it came at a time when I really needed help to save my shop from collapsing. The fact that this money was also non-refundable made me more happier.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I used part of my first transfers to pay school fees for my children who are in high school since the money I had would not be enough to clear the arrears they had including this term's fee. I used the remaining amount in increasing stock and buying items that I was not selling before in my shop so as to increase my profit.
