Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my cash transfer I was so excited and thankful as I never thought in my life I would ever have such kind of money at once. I was so excited to know that now some of my dreams will come true as I will use the money to fulfill them and I really did manage to buy bricks and now am building small houses so that should start animal farming. Am very thankful.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my life is that now am able to have time to look after my children, am able to cook lunch for them even to wash their clothes. I never used to cook lunch for them as I was always at the farm irrigating my crops but now with the water pump I bought I have my personal time again and am very thankful may God bless the organisation.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
After I received my cash transfer from Give Directly I managed to buy a water pump at 195,000 kwacha. Early this year I started farming, I grow Sugar cane , Rape and Chinese and it was time consuming for me to be irrigating the crops using a water cane so with the money I received I decided to buy this water pump to make my farming easier and am very thankful for GD transfers may God bless the organisation.
