Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
My mother never received this amount of money in all her life. I find this as an awesome opportunity. I was very happy when I received my transfer. This means a lot to me. The transfer will change my life for the better.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I raise some children who are orphans. It has been a tough journey in raising them. I am so grateful for the transfer I received. I now live a happy life which is free from worries because I have enough food. The transfer will also enable me to build an extra shelter for the family which I couldn't have managed to do on my own.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My house is very small. I receive visitors now and again and I always struggle in finding them a sleeping place. The moment I heard that I will receive money from GD, I decided to build a Boysquarter. I have then bought iron sheets for the Boysquarter. I used MK 55000 to buy a mattress. I also bought 5 bags of maize for food processing. I also didn't have enough cooking utensils. So I bought pots, plates, basins and cups. I have saved part of the money to invest in agriculture.
