In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well by giving me the cash transfer. On the other hand, there is nothing bad that it has done.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is no longer the same in that, I'm constructing a permanent house for myself. The house I used to sleep leaked too much to the extent that I had to relocate to my child's.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my transfer on buying construction materials like bricks, sand at ugx 640000, I paid school fees for my granddaughter at ugx 800000. I also purchased a mattress at ugx 98000 because I used to sleep on the old one and there was need to change it. I used ugx 102 for buying food and saved 60000 for future use.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
When my phone rang, I did not notice because I was a sleep. During morning time, My neighbors came to me inquiring whether I received my transfer. I told them I don't know but I told them to check for me because my vision is not clear. Upon checking the mobile money account, They informed me there was money in my account. My heart was filled with joy and I ululated because I have received my transfer as promised.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My daily life is different now in that, I have a peace of mind because I can buy anything that I choose. My skin complexion has also improved because I'm able to buy smearing oils that have glittered my skin making me look like the days I was younger. I can also change my dieting simply because I can afford to buy any foods my heart desires.
