What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I haven't spent my most recent transfer yet. I have decided to build a new house for my family and I to have a better place to live.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly is doing well for me by giving me money to transfor my lives in a positive way, right now I'm able to build my house though the help of Give Directly, and support my kids in school and to have a better life because i want to live in a zinc house, all my life i have been living in poverty i could not hardly feed my family, But right now I'm able to start my own businesses to help myself, even if GiveDirectly is no more that i will not suffer with my family anymore, GiveDirectly hasn't done nothing bad to us. Thank you to the GiveDirectly family let God bless them.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
By this time next year, I'm hoping to be in a better financial position to educate my children and give them a decent living. In the next 5 years, I want to see myself living in the big city, Monrovia, along with my family so that they can have better access to quality education .

What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Me and my children live in a small room attached to my business place, selling and living almost in the same tiny space. I intend to use this transfer to build a very decent home for my children and me.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I am a classroom teacher in my town with very little salary, barely enough to eat and take care of the family needs. Now I don't have to worry about where to lay my head because in the soonest possible time, I will have a modern house to call my own.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I saw people checking their phones and rejoicing so I went inside for my phone too to check. After running the process, there in black and white starring at me was my full transfer for the first month. I was astonished and broke down completely. It was truly amazing to be promised help and finally receiving it. I can't describe the joy I still feel till this day because it overwhelmed me. This means so much to me and I'm very grateful.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Since I was born I haven't lived in a concrete brick house. And I don't want this to happen to my children so I want to build a concrete house so when I'm dead my children will have somewhere comfortable to sleep. Moreover seeing myself living in mud and stick all the days of my life is embarrassing and frustrating. When the rain starts to fall the mud gets sucked and my house gets cool which can cause my family to develop cool. Finding the means to change my house to a concrete building is the biggest challenge I'm facing currently.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last 6 months what has brought me joy or happiness is when my sister gives me 10,000.00 Liberian Dollars in may of this year. I was happy because during may we brushed the farm and started the planting process due to that we experience food shortages. So when I received the money I was happy about what my sister did for me because I was able to purchase food to sustain, my family.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I'm successful to receive the Give Directly cash transfer I intend to build a concrete brick house. The house I'm living in the wall is made of mud and stick. since I was born I haven't lived in a house that is made of concrete bricks. I want to build a concrete brick house because it is long-lasting. Besides, I want to live somewhere comfortable. Though I make a farm the money I earn from the farm is what I used to build the mud and stick house.
