How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I would like to start a business before end year and be using the profits to run my everyday life. I stay with my last born daughter and son and hope to take care of my daughter and myself as I'm a widow.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
There was never any difficulties during the process and give directly is doing great it doesn't need to change or improve on anything, I am grateful.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Recipient bought a solar panel as she's elderly and was staying in the dark, she has saved the 4 million shillings and wants to buy a cow and the rest to keep her in her old age.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
Was at home, on seeing message of money on phone, she felt extremely excited,she praised God and thanked God for the GD doing great thing for her
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Ever since she received the first transfer, she has felt happy,the family does not lack things like sugar, and other foodstuffs,she is a widow ,the husband passed on over three years ago, and she has been miserable and felt lonely, but now sith GD helping her, she is going to complete the house her husband had started building and it had stalled
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
She bought a young bull ,because that she wanted to rear a bull but was unable to afford buying one. The remaining portion is going to be spent on fees of her last born who finished senior four.

I plan to pay fees for my daughter, buy a cow, and do some business.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What has brought me joy in the past 6months is when my son bought for me sugar, food and some money that made me happy as a mother.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challenges am facing is majorly poverty and hunger and as a result am struggling to feed and pay fees of my last born daughter since the bread winner past on.
