How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I'm Joseph Sackie, before GD came, I planned to build a house but could not be realized due to lock of funding. I was burning charcoal and selling them, making garden but all of these could not start me a house. But when I got enrolled as a recipient on the GD program and received my first and second transfers, I was now able to start building my new house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Firstly, I want to take this time to say a very big thanks to Give Directly for services rendered us during the entire enrollment process. You did a great and excellent job.

I was able to buy few bundles of zinc and I was also able to paid my sick mother hospital bills. I also paid people to cut the Sticks for my new house and bought food for the children.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I am successful to receive my transfer, I want to do business with the money I will receive inorder to make life better.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I was happy when my girlfriend's elder sister sent her money for her transportation inorder for her to go to her mother who has been ill for a long time. I was happy when she sent because I tried inorder to transport her but to no avail.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I am currently facing financial challenge, It is very difficult to handle money for myself. I have to clean farm land for others inorder to get money and get food.
