Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four month, I have a new goal to start the construction of rooms behind my shop which I will be selling out as lodgings and also to improve my shop by improving the dusty floors. The two rooms I am planning to construct will be another source of income as there are no other rooms around.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Many things have happened in my life since I first got the transfers from GiveDirectly. Among them was improvement of what it already exist while others are what started just after receiving the transfers. These have really brought a lot of differences in my life. The biggest difference in my daily life is the booming shop-business I established after receiving both transfers. It has been doing well, earning me a good profit enough to meet all the household requirement and also pay school fees for my children. I am much grateful that I managed to be part of this program.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to have completed the construction of two rooms and installation of electricity. At then they will be ready to be sold and I believe they will attract customers since I am planning to furnish them well.

The biggest difference in my life is that I have my own piece of land which I will use for farming.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months I expect to buy a cow for rearing.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
If not with the money which I got from GD, I would have not gotten enough money for buying the piece of land which I bought after receiving these transfer.
Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
My new goal is to raise tea seedling and start poultry farming.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Growing up without any support from parents and relatives is the biggest hardship I've faced in life. My parents separated when we were young and I didn't get a chance to go to school. I resorted to casual jobs in order to survive. Am grateful to God because of this far he has brought me. I managed to trace my parents,thankfully we reunited eight years ago.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Morning is the happiest part of day. Been a shopkeeper, and a morning person, I enjoy serving my customers at this moment.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
Am planning to spend my transfer on purchasing a piece of land. With support from my wife and savings from the business , I will be in a position to accomplish that objective.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
Starting up a kiosk business is an achievement am proudest of in my life. I've been running this business for over 15 years and I've seen significant improvement. I've purchased a plot and developed it using returns from that business and am proud of myself.
