Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
The new goal I have for my life in the next four months is to build a decent house and buy a water tank. I live in a mud-walled old house that requires regular maintenance. I am growing old and attending my house regularly is tiring thus build a new one will reduce the burden. I wish to also buy a water tank since this will help in harvest rainwater thus will have clean water at my doorstep.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
My children's education has been my priority among my family needs knowing that this is the only way to brighten their future. For a casual laborer to raise school fees and at the same time meet the daily household needs is so challenging, a situation I had faced for my entire past life. The biggest difference in my daily life since I received my transfer is being empowered to support my children's education. I feel so happy to see them in school study courtesy of Give Directly, I am hopeful they will have good results to take them to a good university and later have jobs to support their lives and give back to us.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I will have built a decent house and have bought a water tank. I feel this will be the time being relaxed with ample minds now that I won't be needed to regularly smear my house or go far to fetch water like I currently do. I am hopeful of a happier life in the next six months.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
About two years ago, my son was involved in a fatal accident. Fortunatrly, he survived the tragedy but lost one leg. He was treated at Kenyatta National Hospital ( one of the most expensive hospitals in the country). Consequently, the costs of treatment accumulated to about KSh. 300, 000. As a result, we sold almost everything we had to settle the hospital bill. To date, we still have a pending debt of more than KSh. 30, 000. Hence, that incident acts as the biggest hardship I have faced in life.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is at the morning when sharing breakfast with my family. That signifies a new day and wellbeing of every household member. We always pray and thank God at the beggining of each day.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend my transfer on clearing college fees for my kid
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The greatest achievement that I am proudest of is that I have managed to ensure that my kid pursues his dream course at college. As a responsible parent, I do casual work and subsistence farming to feed my kids and educate them, especially after the demise of my husband about 15 years ago. I trust that my kid will complete his studies and live a happy life.
