How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I now have a house. I can also buy buy food for myself in the midst of the pandemic. All this could not have been possible if not for the pandemic.

give directly has do so well. I have managed to build a house, and i made a choice a choice of building a house on my own without being forced

I have started building my house. I bought building materials: timber, nails, window frames, glasses, door flames and also paying the builder.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
To be honest, I was very happy to recieve this money. I wanted to run on foot up to town to withdraw the money because of excitement. Only God knows how grateful I am to GiveDirectly.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I dont know where I would have been without transfer. I know I would have been very sad because almost everyone in my village has recieved these transfers.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
This money has helped me a lot especially on food. I have managed to buy maize in preparation for January because I mostly do not have enough food in January. I also use the money to buy kitchen utensils which I thought I would never own such as food warmers.
