What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I am successful to get this cash transfer from Givedirectly, I will use some to buy zinc to build a decent house for my family. Currently my family lives in a dubbed mud house that has a thatched roof and as such during the rainy season we hardly sleep at night because the roof is very old and no longer holds Water. Sometimes when there is a storm we seek shelter in town mosque.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months, my family's health has been in a very good condition. We have not experienced any medical issues that will affect our incomes. This brought me joy and happiness.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My greatest hardship right now is; I do not have a Fixed source of income. Most times I have to work as a casual labourer at my kinsmen charcoal kiln during charcoal burning. The little cash I I get from there can not cover my family needs in terms of food and medication.
