What did you spend your third transfer on?
My son finished high school last year with a balance of 30000 Kes so when I received this last transfer I used it to offset the arrears for him to be able to get his certificate, I also used the cash to pay some farmers to do weeding in the farm then kept some money as savings to be used to settle my daughter who will be joining high school next year.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on settling fees arrears for my child in secondary school, paid almost half my transfer to national hospital insurance fund and used the rest of the money in planting variety of grains in farm, hopefully the harvest will be plenty.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is being at peace with myself knowing that I have no debt pending.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to buy school uniforms and text books for my children in primary school who were having torn uniforms. The remaining amount was spent on buying a bag of maize for food.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I had been sick for sometime and was not going to look for work. I was overwhelmed with joy when I received the money from GiveDirectly since I had no money in the house and we needed food.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
My main intention is to use the transfer on paying school fees for my niece who is a total orphan.She will be joining form one next year.Secondly,l will use the remaining amount to boost my farming.l do ground nuts and sorghum farming.This will enable me support more orphans that l live with.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is that though l am widow,l have been able to bring up my children.l paid their school fees to secondary school level through farming .My first born daughter in joining college to study business administration.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship in life is that l have a big family of fourteen.Five of them are orphans that l support but l don't have enough money to pay their school fees.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is in the morning,when working in my farm.
