How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Well, the few things that have been on my mind are going back to school and learning a trade that I will live on in the future, paying my rent and taking the responsibilities of my son as a father. I have not been able to do any of those things because I don't have the cash to do so. When I receive my first and second transfers from Givedirectly, I took portion of them and I decided to use the opportunity to pursue my dreams by going to computer science school for a quality education for better job opportunities in technology.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
By taking the stand to help the poor is a great thing especially sending the cash directly to me and other people that are receiving money from GiveDirectly. In my opinion about what is not done well by GiveDirectly, I have not seen anything of such. I just want to say thank you to GiveDirectly for everything they have done for me and my family for a better future.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
When I receive my third transfer from Givedirectly, I divided it into portions. I used $10,000.00LRD to pay for my mother's saving club debt. The remaining portion, I used some of it on my school and my house rent. I was also able use certain portion of it for my house expensive like food and other important things for the house.
