What did you spend your third transfer on?
I used a portion of the transfer to pay my 3 children in high school fee. I also bought a cow with the rest of the transfer.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I live with hope that the sugarcane I planted with my second transfer will do good and will uplift my family from poverty.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, what GD does well is that it is determined to help the very poor in the village. At the moment I'm not aware of what GD doesn't do well.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to buy two cows for milking. I also spent part of the money to pay school for my sons who are in second school. I am so grateful for GiveDirectly for helping me keep my children in school.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I no longer have to do odd jobs in people's farms as I have my own sugar plantation I planted using the first transfer that I now work in. My children are also in school courtesy of GiveDirectly.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
Our first plan is to spend part of the transfer in sugar cane growing. The amount will mainly be used for ploughing and weeding since we already have two acres of land ear-marked for that. Secondly, we plan to use another part of the transfer to pay school fees for our three children in secondary school, and one in primary school. Lastly, we intend to use the remaining amount to buy a cow that would provide us with milk in the future.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement I'm very proud of is having bought this piece land and built this my house.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship we're facing is paying school fees for our children.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when I come back home from the farm and relax with my family.
