What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
The recent cash transfer was kept to fix our dirt bricks when the builder comes.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly has done extremely well for us. I was born 1964, and has never in mine life received such cash before. Give Directly has really put smile on our faces and tears in our hearts. Thanks ever so much for the assistance given us. May God Bless You All.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Since we started receiving the cash transfer, our goals are to build a house with zinc roof using dirt bricks and plaster it with cement. We're also concentrating on planting our coco farm. Thanks to Give Directly for assisting us fulfill our dreams.

What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I intend to use my transfer on wood for my house project. The zinc has been bought already with the transfer before this so my focus now is to get enough roofing and door wood aswell as payment for the contractors.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly is ths best organisation I have ever experienced. To think of anything GiveDirectly is not doing well will be a complete waste of time. Changing our lives with these transfers is alot and I'm grateful.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My new goal is to build a new house for me and my family. I intend to build a concrete zinc house so we can live comfortably. I have lived in a mud house for quite a long time and thankfully GiveDirectly has come to change that with these generous transfers.

What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have purchased few bundle of zinc and I am now moding dirt bricks to start my house project soon.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I was faced with many challenges. No money to do my farm work. But since I started receiving money from Givedirectly, I can now pay people to help me with farming work. I am now achieving my dream of building a new house. This was something I never thought could happened anytime soon.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
On that faithful day, I was on my cocoa farm when the good news reached me that Givedirectly transfer has arrived. I was so happy that day to see a wonderful thing like this happening. All my life I have never had such an experience. It was awesome.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"We are seriously challenged with food because our farm doesn't produce much. All our efforts seem fruitless because the bush cows are making it so difficult for us along with the birds that eat the rice. Money is another major issue for us! The fact that little or nothing's being generated from our farm, it makes it difficult for us to have proper meals as a family."
What is the happiest part of your day?
"Two weeks ago our children who are in the city delivered us some household items and provisions for the house! It made my husband and myself so happy because we are a bit relaxed for a while in terms of being worried about food for the house. Aside from that, we're happy every other day when we go to the farm and bring some produce for the house. Additionally, if we sell for a particular day and get small thing it helps us to take care of the home. For that alone, I'm grateful each day! And, I've never owned a phone before. Today, I received my very first phone for Givedirectly which I'm eternally grateful!"
What does receiving this money mean to you?
"I would love to invest more into my cocoa plantation because it has profit and it's a business that never goes out of style. It will really help to cater to the needs of my family! Next, I plan to build my own house because right now I'm not living in my own house. I would love to see myself in a decent and long lasting house in that; the insects would be far from the planks because it's really challenging for my family and myself. Lastly, if there's anymore cash left of the cash transfer, we would extend our landmarks by purchasing a lot in the city so as to have our children settling down there."
