Since I got my first transfers from Give Directly, many things have changed in my life. I managed to complete the floor of my house which was halfway done. I also painted the house and now I have moved in. Now we have a more spacious house and were it not for this organization it would have taken me long to complete it. Again, I bought a heifer which I didn't have before. with the business which I do it would have taken me a longer period to save enough money to buy one like the one, I have now. The motorbike which I bought has eased my work as a businessman and the money which I would have spent on transport I spend on buying necessities for my family. Apart from using the motorbike to ferry milk from the collection point to where I sell it, I also use it for motorcycle taxi business which earns me some income. All these changes are as a result of Give Directly transfers.

In my opinion, I like the approach in which Give Directly took to give monetary support to the beneficiaries. Different people have different needs and having money means that they would be able to spend on items that they have been yearning for some time. There was nothing which I can say against this life-changing organization as their operations were so excellent.

The second transfer which I received, I spent KES 50000 to buy a second-hand motorbike. I needed one to help me in doing my business. I have been operating milk vending business for some time now and I have been spending a lot on transportation. Since I knew how to ride I opted to buy my own so that I would save more. Now I have cut transportation cost by half and that is what I wanted as far as maximizing profit is a concern. I also spent KES 3000 to buy a mattress. After a long day of work, I now have a good mattress which gives me a good sleep.

The biggest difference in my daily life is living in a smart home. I improved my home by completing a smart house. I am happy to see myself in a proper home. I also felt good to repay a small debt that I owed my brother. it gave me a lot of relief.

This was my happiest day ever. I was so happy that I got a chance to utilize a huge sum of money. I have completed my teaching training but I am yet to secure employment. I had never seen such a huge sum of money yet I had a lot of needs.

I spent the money I received on my first transfer on completing a house that had stalled. I bought the finishing building materials, I increased the number of timber that I had and made a good finishing. The house is now usable and looking great. I also bought a heifer because they needed to start dairy farming. My dream is to become a successful dairy farmer starting from this heifer.
