How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has improved ever since I received the cash transfer. I have secured a plot of land with the second cash transfer. Currently, I owe the land owner UGX 700000 to complete the payment. After which I will start constructing a permanent home. I intend to complete this payment after the sale of any excess food crops. In the past, I was worried because I had no land of my own. I am grateful that GiveDirectly sent me the cash transfers that have enabled me secure a plot of land.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well to support the poor people through giving them cash transfers. I am also glad that GiveDirectly provided us with phones which have made communication possible for us. I can easily communicate with the outside world.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The mere fact that I was able to deposit money on my plot of land has greatly made a difference in my daily life. This is since I had come back from my marital home due to a lot of domestic violence and had no place to give to my children, I am now happy that they will have a place to call home.

Having heard a message notification, I checked and was struck with happiness on seeing that it was from GiveDirectly stating that I had received money. At that moment, my plan of owning land was being fulfilled.
