How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I have been using my transfers majorly on food and medication. I thank Give Directly I am eating well and I have fewer worries and stress compared to before when I have no reliable source of income. I have a lot of improvement in my body because I do not get sick frequently unlike before and also I am staying a happy life since I have enough food to eat.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I am now aged and I can't do heavy work. I have an additional goal of buying a sheep, in fact, I am already saving towards that. I came up with sheep rearing because it is easy to manage and also it multiplies very fast. I will also sell its siblings in the near future when I have a financial crisis.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am healthier and happier. I was lucky to get transfers from Give Directly which allowed me to settle my medical bills. I was too sick to do casual jobs and there was no hope of how we could pay the bills that were accumulating on a daily basis. The transfers came like a miracle because out of nowhere I was now able to pay the bills. Apart from that, I was also able to afford a balanced meal. Since I was sick and bedridden my family had suffered a lot because there was no one to look after them. Getting food was even a problem. I thank God for this organization because they have saved me from a lot of shame and anxieties
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months because I will have saved enough money to buy goats. I know Give Directly is almost finishing their project in this village and it is wise that I invest wisely. I think buying goats is a good idea because they have a high market demand. This will help me a lot since I am old and I am not strong enough to do casual jobs. I will be selling them in order to take care of my daily needs and also cater for my ever ailing body

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
The other difference in my life in the last four months is that I have new household items such as seats, bedding, and utensils. Throughout my life, I have always used the ones I bought when I got married 17 years ago. They have been old and I no longer feel comfortable using them especially whenever I have visitors. This is why I decided to buy new ones so that I may not look poor as I have always looked after GD has given me such a life-changing opportunity.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months, I wish to buy a goat which I will use as a remembrance of GD and an investment for me. I would not want to always beg for help anytime I have a need because I feel like a burden to others. This is why I would want to have a goat as an investment so that whenever an emergency arises, I can sell the goat to get money to handle the emergency.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Receiving these transfers meant a lot in my life because through the transfers I have always got quality medications in time whenever I feel sick. Due to old age, I do suffer a lot from various diseases which I cannot treat well in my own capacity because of my income. I have always depended on farming and small chapati business which has been my source of income. It has been difficult because the income is small and the demands are many. My business could not grow because I used the resources from it to handle my health conditions. Since I started receiving the transfers, I have been using the transfers to pay for medication which has been significant in my life.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My life will change in the next six months in that I will have money that I can use to handle my needs efficiently. I would not want to borrow and depend on others as I have always done in the past. I will use my transfer on savings so that if I have an emergency, I can solve it without many struggles and borrowing.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different than it was four months ago because I am always able to buy food for my household from the transfers. I currently live a better life since I do not have to always bother my son to buy me some personal goods. I have also been able to use my transfers to buy my drugs whenever I feel unwell.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My additional goal in the next four months is to buy a new set of chairs. The chairs that I have been using currently are very old and I fear they may one day break while in use. The chairs that I shall buy will replace the old ones. They will also change the outlook of my house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
In the last four months preceding the current transfer, the biggest difference in my life is having obtained a good harvest from my farms. I had used the transfers to till my piece of land. The other transfers helped me to hire some labourers who weeded my farms in time. I was, therefore, able to obtain three 90kg bags of maize. Before I began receiving the transfers, I could only till a small piece of land which sometimes could not be weeded in time. As a result, the highest amount of harvest I had ever obtained was one 90 kg bags of maize.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to buy some of the household items such as a sofa set. The chairs will greatly improve the appearance of my house and make it more comfortable to live in. I also expect to buy some goats and sheep which I shall keep to help me in the future when the transfers are over.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Right now I have enough money to buy food for my grandchildren and provide a balanced diet for them which makes them have a better healthy feeding pattern. I believe by providing food for them they will not be malnourished and they will therefore be able to concentrate on their studies and do well in school.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I am planning to buy a cow in the future because I know I will be able to get enough milk once the cow gives birth. Right now I am not able to drink milk tea due to the high prices of milk which is out of my reach so I spend most of my breakfast taking either porridge or strong tea. Apart from that I will be hoping that the cow will give birth to male calf's which I will rear and once they will be grown enough I will use them to plough my farm instead of using a hand held digging hoe.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I have been able to get two goats that I could have never bought before had it been that GD had not sent me the cash. The reason why I have been buying the goats is because I wanted to get a cow but I never had enough money for the cow so i started out with the goats which would then give birth and I will sell them out to generate income enough to buy a cow.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect to buy some chicks maybe four or five in the near future and I know after a very short period they will hatch their eggs and result in additional chicks. I will therefore be able to sell the extra chicks and earn some money which will help me sort my financial needs so that I will not have to rely so much on the cash transfers from Give directly.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Currently I am able to feed well with ease unlike before I had to toil to feed my grandchildren. I have less stress in terms of taking care of my children. The house is jovial unlike before and I have come to realize that money puts a smile on peoples faces.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect to grow old in peace and with little struggles given that food will not be a problem and farming has been made more easier now that I can hire labor with the transfers I receive from GD.
