How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I just bought the balance zinc to complete my house. I even bought some nail for the zicing of my house. I also pay my children school feed and even bought them some schools material. I was only living on farming to survive.with the transfer I'm about to have a very descent house in this village. My children are been out of school because of my low income that I'm getting from the farming work.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my own opinion GiveDirectly has done great for we the poor people of Liberia. More especially we the poor people of Rivercesse county. GiveDirectly has not done nothing bad yet.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt so excited when I received this money, because this money arrived at the time that I am very broke and don't have anywhere to get money from.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The difference is that now am in the capacity to build a new house. Unlike before where I was always stressed daily about how to get a comfortable place for me and my family to sleep.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I planned to build a house with my money, and that's because the house that I am currently staying in with my family is not comfortable; it's falling apart.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I have plans for this money;but of all,two is very important to me. I am not a learn woman, I live in total darkness when it comes to education. I want to experience the sweetness of education but only through my daughter. So I have decided that when I get this money I will help my big daughter go to the best school, in this light she will be my strength and back bone. The next plan because I said two, will be the building of my own house. I had a house but the storm broke it down and now my husband, the children and I, we are hanging in his brother house. So for these I came up with these two plans for now.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last months my first happy news was the call of my husband that he was responding to treatment, two getting contract at palm Bay company as palm cutter and the third is today news from Give Directly who came to visit me and saying that I will be receiving free money and not paying back. This is the most happiest news ever. I am so glad.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My challenges are few; my husband is a very strong man but got sick;his eyes star hurting for years and all the little savings we had was spent in the hospital. Now we are out of money. I want to build, I want to see my big daughter in school but can this be done without money?no. So I want to tell you that money in my difficult challenge I am faced with now.
