How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The first goal I had was to send my three children to school because raising money for their support have been so challenging for me over the years, the bush work I am doing to raise money doesn't pay that much, that is why I am so happy to be apart of this program. my new goal is to complete my house project, I decided to fix my house with the transfers because it hasn't been in a good condition for some years now, I think with the help of this program, I will achieve this goal.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well by teaching us how it takes to use a mobile money system, it has been a good thing to understand and use such a system, I also noticed their manner of approach which is so good anytime I interact with them. GiveDirectly has nothing that they are not doing well because everything is okay to me.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my most recent transfer to buy materials for my charcoal business to improve, I also use some of it to clear another farm so that I can plant rice there for a good harvest, I use some of it to buy food, the balance was used to establish a little business for my wife.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I am successful to receive the transfer, I will send my children to school. Although they are going to school, but there is no permanent source Besides, Monrovia schools are expensive. And you can't have your children living with people and you can help with fees for school. I will also renovate my house if the money is more. My house is now old. When it rains, the zinc leaks. As such, I want to renovate it so it will be better than this.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Yes, I was happy because my children were promotion for the last school year. That shows that my money was not wasted. In addition to what makes me happy, the fact that my partner and I here without confusion; and we can afford to eat, I am happy for that all as well.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The major challenge for me is money. I find it very difficult all of the time to raise money to pay my children school fees. Here I burn coal to pay their fees. But most time, the coal money can't be sufficient for the fees. As the result, I always credit to pay their fees. So if I am successful in this program, I will really be happy.
