Before the transfers from Give Directly, I was living in a grass thatched mud house. I had hunger in my household. There were days I would worry about how I would pay back my debts and afford food. I never dreamt I could finally have enough money for both food and to build a better house for myself and my family. I now have food in my household and no longer worry about starving. I am also in the process of building a stronger, sturdier house with cement floors and iron sheet roof. My life is so much better. I am happier and worry less.

So far as I have been helped by Give Directly, I have not had any bad experiences. None of my neighbours have had bad experiences either. All we have are praises. This organization has really helped change our lives. Alot of us now have better houses because of the transfers from GD. We now have businesses we could not afford to have on our own before. We have been able to solve alot of our problems through the use of the transfers. Some people had no food before. I was one of them. I can now afford to buy food and do not worry about hunger anymore.

For this transfer, I plan to improve my house. I live in a mud grass thatched house. My plan is to buy cement and iron sheets to improve the floors and to build a new roof for my house.
