How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Were it not for Give Directly, I believe I wouldn't have gotten a chance to buy a piece of land since we had no capacity to raise money for buying one. I could have also not bought a cow that has so far made tremendous changes in my life. Ever since we have been buying milk but am happy now own a cow that has already started producing milk.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
To me Give Directly is one of the unique organization I have ever heard. They are real life-changers. Their impact has been felt by almost everyone in areas they have gone to. There are tremendous changes in our village because of the help we received from this organization.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
The second transfer I spend to buy a piece of land. I have saved some money, I, therefore, added this second transfers and bought the land. The previous one was too small for us to do farming. I am now glad because we can now plant several crops on the same land. I am looking forward to having a good harvest since the land looks fertile. I feel good because I will no longer be buying food.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I have for a very long time desired to keep sheep onmy farm. This has not been fulfilled because I don't have an income good enough to enable me to buy sheep. I am peasant farmer and I rely on maize crop. Due to adverse weather in our region, my Harvest has been so poor over the years only allowing to use it for food. I haven't gotten enough money to buy animals but receiving tarnsfers from GiveDireclty means that I will buy about 10 sheep.Sheep multiply very quickly and becomes a nice way of making money as a farming method that I can embrace.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening. At this time I sit down for a good meal with my family. I love to see my family sit down after a whole days work, tired and exhausted but happy with the meal I put before them. Taking super with my children and husband is the nicest momment of the day and makes me very happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
In my life, the hardest issue I have faced is lacking a piece of land to farm. I am a housewife and my activities are carried out within our homestead. the land we live in is a very small portion that is not enough for tilling. I have had to leave land for farming outside my village, far away in another county. It is very Essa xpensive operation yet I cannot just sit at home and do nothing. I have always wished to buy my own in order for reduce all the hustle that comes with farming along way away from here.
