How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is much different from how it would have been since I now have a cow of my own and I have now built a better house for my family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I am so grateful to Givedirectly for giving me money and trusting me to decide on its use without any limitations. Giving people freedom of choice is the best that I see.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I used the transfer that I received to buy a cow and a sheep for rearing. I also bought clothes, mattress and other personal effects and used the remaining to buy food.

I now live in a better house which I didn't believe that one day I would built as I had no cash.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
When I received a confirmation message confirming that I had receive money to my phone I was shocked in doubt but when i withdrew the money I believe that Give Directly is a true source help to us.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
The money which I got from Give Directly I spent part of it to built a house as I was living in a grass tauched house. I spent the rest to tilt a piece of land for planting and the rest to buy a cow and food

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Indeed the heaven has opened its doors. After selling all the cows we had (to pay school fees for my kids), we have been struggling to make ends meet buy buying milk for our household use. Hence, receiving this money means that we shall reown (buy) other cows and enjoy reliable source of milk. Besides, we shall sell surplus milk to gain additional income for improving our living standards.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is at the morning when sharing breakfast with my healthy and jovial family. This means that we are rejuvinated and strong enough to handle challenges of the day.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship we have faced in life is inadequacy of farmland. We live and farm in about 0.4 acres of land. Accordingly, we do limited farming (though farming is our main source of living) that has resulted in an endless insufficiency of food.
