How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different now, I have my cows and I sleep well on a bed, mattress and in an iron roofed house. I feel stronger and I know I will leave longer, I am very happy with my property. Previously, I did not have hope of life, I offered casual labour on a daily basis in order to survive and I was gradually weakening.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I have never seen an organisation like GiveDirectly before, they did well to vist me at home and give me unconditional cash that I would have not got on my own. There is nothing they did bad.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent the whole of my second transfer for constructing an iron roofed house for my self. I choose to do this because grass has become scarse that at my age I can not manage to keep renovating the hut.
