Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I want to thank God for GiveDirectly for coming into my community to give us this money.I was really worried about my children's education especially now that they don't have their classes here. You know, I used to digg cassava from my farm and sell it before I paid their school fees and even bought food for us to eat. Now that I have this money, I am going to pay their school fees buy copybooks, shoes, bookbags and even rent a place in Monrovia for them to be while attending to complete the secondary school. The very day I received my money on my phone, I was very happy. I could feel inside me the releave this money will bring to me and my family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life since I received my payment from GiveDirectly, I can proudly say with the money, I am now able to rent a place for my children to go Monrovia to attend school and pay school fees. The school here is stopping to Grade six(6) and I have two of my children now in Junior High and the other two in the Senior High. At least with the money I was also able to buy bookbags, shoes, uniform shirt and trousers, copybooks, and pen.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Like I said from the beginning, I am going to spend most of my recent transfer on my children's education because they are my future. When they shall have completed their education and start to work for their own money, I will benefit from them even the community. I may be old by that time and not able to do any work, they will be the one who will take care of me.
